Wilson's Plover with Chick
From April to August an area on Fort Myers Beach is cordoned off for nesting plovers and terns. With telephoto lenses it's possible to photograph the birds from outside the cordon without causing any stress. The chick is 2 days old and we witnessed it hatching. Canon EOS-1D III with 500mm f/4L IS lens and 1.4 converter.
