Black Bellied Plover eating a cockle

Cockle shells appear on the beach regularly, generally just half of the shell. This is the first time we have seen a cockle with the clam inside. It was putting up a spirited resistance to being eaten by this black bellied plover. Canon EOS-1DX with 500mm f/4L IS lens and 1.4 III converter.
